Duties

• Assist with food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs, including basic ingredient handling and station setup
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently and thoroughly
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is sanitized and stored properly to meet health and safety standards
• Support the organization of supplies and ingredients to facilitate smooth kitchen operations
• Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to uphold environmental standards
• Assist with serving duties when required, ensuring prompt and courteous service to guests or diners
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe working environment for all team members

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene practices
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a culinary environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
