Kitchen Porter

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team at Shwen Shwen. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, ensuring that all food preparation areas are well-organised and hygienic. Duties

• Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and work surfaces
• Clean and organise food preparation and storage areas
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and hygienically
• Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and the baking team
• Support the kitchen team during service by assisting with plating and serving when needed
• Receive and store deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and quality checks are carried out
• Adhere to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef and management team to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn from experienced chefs
• Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality
