We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. Duties

• Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the dining and kitchen areas throughout service periods.
• Supporting the movement of ingredients and supplies around the kitchen as needed.
• Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Restocking supplies and ensuring all storage areas are tidy and organised.
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary practices is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
