Duties

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the head chef
• Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
• Support with the organisation and restocking of supplies in the kitchen area
• Help with waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
• Support chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Maintain health and safety standards by adhering to hygiene regulations at all times
• Assist with general cleaning duties within the kitchen
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by working collaboratively with colleagues

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary processes is desirable
• Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards is beneficial
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
