Kitchen Porter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, dishes and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling & chopping if required.
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organised workspace throughout shifts.
• Dispose of waste efficiently and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations and help put away deliveries.
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with general cleaning duties within the kitchen area, including floors, surfaces, and storage areas.
• Work experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

The right candidate must have the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. You must have good organisational skills with attention to detail and a strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality. You must also be available to work mornings, evenings, bank holidays and weekends.
