Lisboa Patisserie is a renowned Portuguese bakery and café with multiple London locations, celebrated for our iconic Pastéis de Nata, traditional pastries, and high‑quality handmade products. We operate a fast‑paced, high‑volume production kitchen with a strong reputation for consistency, authenticity, and excellence.

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our pastry team and help maintain high standards across the kitchen. You will play an essential role in keeping the bakery running smoothly by ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and efficient workflow throughout daily production.

Job Overview

This is a full‑time, permanent position offering a minimum of 45 hours per week. As a Kitchen Porter, you will help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring the pastry team can work smoothly during busy production periods. The role involves continuous dishwashing, basic prep support, and keeping all kitchen areas hygienic and well‑structured.

Early morning starts are essential — standard start time is 5:00 AM, with 4:00 AM starts required on peak production days. The bakery is closed on Mondays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and well‑organised kitchen throughout each shift
• Wash trays, baking equipment, and utensils continuously during production
• Keep workstations, dry store, and communal areas tidy, safe, and fully stocked
• Assist the pastry team with basic preparation tasks when required
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and allergen‑control procedures
• Manage waste disposal and recycling correctly and efficiently
• Support the team during busy periods by ensuring equipment is cleaned and ready to use
• Help with stock rotation, unpacking deliveries, and organising storage areas
• Communicate clearly with chef and team members to maintain smooth workflow
• Uphold Lisboa Patisserie’s standards of cleanliness and consistency at all times

Contract & Working Hours

This is a full‑time, permanent contract with a minimum of 45 hours per week.
Early morning starts are required, with standard shifts beginning at 5:00 AM and occasional 4:00 AM starts during peak days.
Overtime may be available during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen experience preferred
• Ability to work early morning shifts
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
• Ability to reliably commute to W10 or plan relocation
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
