Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently to ensure a steady supply for cooking and serving needs
• Support in organizing storage areas, ensuring ingredients and supplies are properly stored and easily accessible
• Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed diligently
• Help with restocking supplies and ensuring all kitchen stations are prepared for upcoming service periods
• Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment

Experience

• Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel kitchen, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for eager learners
• Familiarity with food handling and hygiene standards is advantageous
• Experience in food preparation or serving roles can enhance your ability to support the team effectively
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaborative work environments
