Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant kitchen team. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and supporting chefs and kitchen staff. Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly after use.
• Handle waste disposal in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in stock management by checking inventory levels and reporting shortages to the management.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous.
• Basic food preparation skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with kitchen staff efficiently.
