Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in a hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Carry out general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment within the kitchen.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a kitchen environment is beneficial.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £10.85 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week
