Job Summary

We have the nicest kitchen team on planet earth. We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our wonderful team. In this vital role, you will support the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a hygienic environment. We are looking for someone with energy and enthusiasm, who cares about food and people to fit in with the culture of this team.

Duties

• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and floors to maintain health and safety standards
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling ingredients, and organising supplies
• Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods to ensure efficient workflow
• Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with environmental policies
• Development opportunities in this role are available for the right candidate

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; a keen willingness to learn is valued
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices desirable but not essential
• This is a physical role, so the ability to work a full shift on your feet, is essential
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
• Passion for hospitality, culinary arts, or working within an arts community is desirable

Pay: £12.80 per hour
