Kitchen Porter

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and kitchen maintenance. The role is 5 days over 7, Friday to Tuesday although some flexibility will be required to cover extra in line with business needs at busier times and holidays and is suitable for those eager to develop their skills in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
• Ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout the shift
• Organising and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients efficiently
• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with routine tasks as required
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

• Experience or interest in food preparation and cooking is advantageous but not essential
• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
• Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality services

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
