This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary and hospitality sectors, particularly within hotels or restaurants. Must be over 18 years old.

Duties

• Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
• Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and assist in its proper storage after use.
• Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure ingredients are used within their shelf life.
• Support chefs during busy service periods by delivering ingredients or assisting with basic cooking tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and communication throughout the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
