About the role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation.

Working across the clubhouse kitchen, café service and functions and events, you will help ensure the kitchen runs efficiently, particularly during busy periods.

This is a casual, zero-hour position, with shifts offered according to business needs. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach who can provide cover at short notice when required.

Main duties

• Washing and cleaning pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping the kitchen, wash-up area, floors and storage areas clean and tidy.
• Following cleaning schedules and maintaining high standards of food hygiene.
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties when required.
• Removing rubbish and ensuring bins are kept clean.
• Ensuring equipment and utensils are stored correctly.
• Following all Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures.
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy services, functions, parties and events.
• Helping maintain an organised and efficient working environment.
• Carrying out other reasonable duties as requested by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.

• Can work evenings, weekends and bank holidays when required.

Previous kitchen porter or hospitality experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as training will be provided.

Contract and availability

This is a casual, zero-hour position, meaning hours are not guaranteed and shifts will be offered according to business requirements.

Availability will be discussed during the interview, including weekday, evening and weekend availability, as well as the ability to cover additional shifts at short notice.

We are looking for someone dependable who can provide additional support during busy periods, staff holidays, sickness, functions and events.
