Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant

As Kitchen Porter your role will be to wash dishes and assist in other kitchen and cleaning duties. The ideal candidate consistently shows up on time for work, provides other employees with assistance as needed and follows all sanitation and health related protocols. We are a busy restaurant and we are happy to consider advancement opportunities for candidates who excel in their role. Weekly schedules are flexible around your commitments, however some weekday evening and weekend availability is required. This post is ideal for someone looking for full-time work throughout the week.

Responsibilities:

• Empty and clean all kitchen rubbish bins
• Operate the commercial dishwasher
• Assist to reduce waste and expenditure
• Help train and support new members of staff
• Help the kitchen and front of house staff as needed
• Ensure your work area is kept clean, tidy and well stocked
• Complete cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning schedule
• Ensure all dishes, pots/pans and cutlery are cleaned to a high standard
• Follow Sanitation, Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Policies Guidelines / Procedures

• Willingness to work in hot, humid environment on your feet for periods of time
• No experience is required only a willingness to learn, training will be provided
