Salary: £16,253.40

Hours: 40h per week

A stunning independent prep school in Tonbridge, Kent for girls and boys aged 2-13. Catering for about 700 students and teachers daily, we offer a core feeding of Snacks and Lunch with lots of great hospitality and events. This location operates Monday to Friday; 41.2 weeks including holidays .

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Tonbridge. You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

Key Skills

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Excellent customer service skills
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We Are Looking For

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Can do attitude.
• Organisation Skills.

Knowledge / Competencies

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
