Kitchen Porter/Assistant

Flat White is an independently owned restaurant offering a high quality food and drinking experience to Durham. We have been a staple part of Durham for over 10 years. We concentrate on local, seasonal produce and we operate an independent, collaborative environment, where ideas are welcome and there is the opportunity to progress as the business develops.

Our kitchen service times are:

Monday - Saturday 07:30 - 17:00, Sunday 08:30 - 17:00. (No evenings except for special events.)

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team on a part time to full time basis, depending on the requirements of the business.

As a Kitchen Porter you will support in the smooth running of the kitchen, from ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness as well as ensuring all equipment is cleaned and ready for every service.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

• Ensure a pristine and organised kitchen for your team throughout service
• To distribute and organise all clean equipment to assigned shelving
• Responsible for the correct use of detergents and other chemicals
• Support with deliveries and keep the storeroom in an organised manner
• Support your brigade of Chefs in prepping for each service when necessary
• Be responsible for washing all the dishes

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 27.0 – 36.0 per week
