Kitchen Porter/Assistant

Amore Mio is a traditional Italian restaurant, pizzeria, and gelateria in the heart of the Cotswolds in Cirencester, GL7. We opened our doors in early 2020 to bring to Cirencester and the Cotswolds a unique combination of authentic Italian cuisine and artisan gelato, everything made on-site with fresh & authentic Mediterranean ingredients. As an independently run small business, the quality of our food, service excellence, and warm, inviting, homely atmosphere are essential.

Our restaurant is seeking a dedicated, reliable individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter/Assistant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• ensuring the kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy

• supporting the chefs during service, cleaning and returning essential cooking equipment

• working with the FOH team to ensure a quick and clean turnaround of washing up

• taking responsibility for emptying bins and recycling, including looking after the main bin area

• cleaning down after service and ensuring all surfaces and floors are spotless

• assisting chefs with basic prep as needed

We will provide basic training on operating the dishwashing equipment, as well as general food hygiene standards.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Tuesday - 12:30-15:30 or till closing for lunch

Wednesday - 12:30-15:30 or till closing for lunch

Thursday - 12:30-15:30 or till closing for lunch

Friday - 12:30-15:30 or till closing for lunch

Saturday - 17:30-22:30 or till closing for dinner

Basic training for operating the dishwashing equipment will also be provided, along with general food hygiene standards.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £8.50-£12.80 per hour
