Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher

Position Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, cookware, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment. This position also assists with general kitchen cleaning and supports the culinary team to ensure efficient food service for members, guests, and special events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, kitchen floors, workstations, and storage areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock clean dishes, glassware, and kitchen supplies in designated storage areas.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as directed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Support kitchen staff with light cleaning and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work effectively as part of the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; previous restaurant or country club experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
This position works in a busy commercial kitchen with exposure to heat, steam, water, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment. Proper safety procedures and personal protective equipment must be followed at all times.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
