Duties

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients to support chefs.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment regularly.
• Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and ensuring stations are stocked and ready for service.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety throughout all kitchen areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Support the serving team during meal service by clearing tables and assisting with tray setups when needed.
• Help with stock management by reporting shortages or damaged items to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key.
• Basic knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and support staff.
• Willingness to undertake physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
