Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. Duties

• Assist with basic food preparation and support chefs during service
• Wash, scrub, and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards
• Restock supplies and ensure all areas are organised for upcoming shifts
• Support the team with waste disposal and recycling procedures
• Assist with general cleaning duties within the kitchen and food storage areas
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for motivated individuals
• Basic understanding of food hygiene standards and safety procedures
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary sector

Pay: £13.00-£13.75 per hour
