Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant

Reports To: Head Chef

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, floors, walls, and storage areas.
• Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
• Dispose of waste and recycling according to health and safety procedures.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Ensure food storage areas remain clean and organized.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required (e.g., peeling vegetables).
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is helpful but often not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical fitness, as the role involves standing, lifting, and carrying items.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Reliability, punctuality, and teamwork skills.
• Basic English communication skills are usually required.
• Complete assigned Training Courses prior to commencing employment

Working Hours

• Full-time or part-time positions available.
• includes evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Typical shifts range from 6–10 hours

Pay: €14.15-€15.00 per hour
