Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients
• Support chefs with cooking processes as directed, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are maintained
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
• Ensure all work surfaces are sanitised regularly and waste is disposed of appropriately
• Restock supplies and organise storage areas to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Support serving staff during busy service periods by providing necessary assistance
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times to uphold a safe working environment

Skills

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
• Familiarity with kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
