You will be responsible for various food preparation tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are sanitized.
• Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
• Support cooks and chefs in various kitchen tasks as needed, including cooking, plating, and serving food.
• Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak service times.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food handling practices.

Skills

• Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
• A passion for cooking and providing excellent service in a restaurant setting.
