Kitchen / Prep Assistant

WHAT IT IS BITES™ is building an event team for luxury, intimate food experiences, private dinners, celebrations, pop-ups, and special events in the Katy/Houston area.

We are looking for a dependable Kitchen / Prep Assistant to help with food preparation and kitchen support before and during events.

What You'll Do

• Assist with basic food preparation, chopping, slicing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
• Follow recipes and preparation instructions
• Help with meal prep, food assembly, and plating
• Keep prep areas, utensils, and equipment clean and organized
• Follow food safety and sanitation practices
• Help organize ingredients and supplies before events
• Assist the kitchen team with keeping food service organized and on schedule
• Communicate with the Host and event team throughout the event
• Help with simple kitchen breakdown and cleanup after service

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a kitchen and standing for extended periods
• Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Good attention to detail
• Clean, organized, and professional
• Basic food preparation or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required
• Catering, restaurant, culinary, or event experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• $125 per completed event

Dress Code

Professional all-black event attire with clean, comfortable black shoes. Additional event-specific instructions may be provided.
