Job Overview

Prepare fresh, consistent meals by organizing ingredients, following recipes, and keeping the kitchen clean and safe. As a Kitchen Prep team member, you’ll work closely with kitchen staff to support smooth meal service. Dietary department, restaurant, catering, or other food service experience is welcome; related experience is preferred, not required.

Duties

• Wash, peel, slice, and portion ingredients using safe knife skills and proper slicing techniques.
• Prepare meals and assist with cooking according to recipes, menus, and dietary requirements.
• Follow food handling procedures and food safety management practices, including applicable production safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment as directed; clean work areas, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Your impact: Careful preparation and safe handling help kitchen staff serve consistent meals that meet guests’ needs.

Skills

• Essential: Attention to detail, willingness to follow recipes and safety procedures, and clear communication with kitchen staff.
• Preferred: Food preparation, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, kitchen, food service, food industry, or culinary experience.
• Helpful experience: Dietary aide or dietary department work, menu planning, restaurant or catering work, and familiarity with food safety practices.
• Able to use basic kitchen equipment and develop or apply sound knife skills and slicing technique.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
