Kitchen Production Manager

About the Role

This is a hands-on position. You'll be cooking and preparing food while also helping the Lead Chef manage the flow of the kitchen and keep production moving.

We're looking for someone who can walk into a busy kitchen, understand what needs to happen next, and help make sure the team stays organized and on schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• Cooking and preparing recipes according to our specifications
• Assisting with high-volume batch cooking and meal production
• Supporting the Lead Chef with daily kitchen operations
• Helping direct cooks and prep staff throughout the shift
• Keeping employees on task and production moving efficiently
• Making sure recipes and preparation instructions are followed accurately
• Monitoring food quality and consistency
• Helping organize and prioritize production when the kitchen gets busy
• Following proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
• Paying close attention to allergy-specific meals and ingredients
• Preventing cross-contact between allergy and non-allergy foods
• Ensuring proper ingredients, procedures, and labeling are being used
• Communicating problems or production issues to the Lead Chef

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is reliable, organized, confident in the kitchen, and comfortable helping lead others.

The right person doesn't need to be told every single thing that needs to happen. You should be able to look at the production schedule, understand the priorities, and help keep the team moving.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Professional kitchen or food-production experience
• Strong cooking and food-preparation skills
• Experience with high-volume cooking, catering, meal prep, or production kitchens preferred
• Experience supervising or directing kitchen staff preferred
• Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Understanding of food safety and cross-contamination prevention
• Ability to remain calm and organized during busy production periods
• Good communication skills
• Ability to take direction from and work closely with our Lead Chef
• A dependable and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to speak and understand English

Because we prepare meals for customers with dietary restrictions and allergies, attention to detail is extremely important in this position. We need someone who takes ingredient accuracy, labeling, food safety, and cross-contamination prevention seriously.

Schedule

This position is primarily:

Thursday, Friday & Saturday
Approximately 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

Hours may occasionally begin earlier or end later depending on the production needs for that week.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
