Little Red Hen is seeking a patient, creative, and encouraging Instructor / Direct Service Provider for our Kitchen Adult Day Program, serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You’ll help create a fun, inclusive kitchen day program where members feel valued, build confidence, and develop everyday skills. From preparing meals to building functional life skills, celebrating a new accomplishment, you’ll make learning meaningful and enjoyable.

What you’ll do:

• Lead hands-on activities in cooking, meal planning, nutrition, kitchen safety, and everyday living skills.
• Adapt activities to members’ interests, abilities, and support needs so everyone can participate.
• Provide respectful, person-centered support that encourages choice and independence.
• Foster teamwork, friendships, and a welcoming environment.
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organized, and safe.
• Work with the team to document participation and progress toward individual goals.

• Experience supporting adults with disabilities, teaching, caregiving, or food preparation is a plus.

Basic Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Complete Live Scan fingerprinting and obtain required criminal record clearance or an approved exemption before starting work.
• Provide a health screening and negative TB test results within licensing-required timeframes.
• Obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR training.
• Complete required training in member care and supervision, emergency procedures, infection prevention, and mandated reporting.
• Protect each member’s rights, dignity, safety, and independence.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
