Kitchen Service Worker

Job Summary
Clay Pigeon Food & Drink is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Service Worker to support daily kitchen operations, food preparation, service, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will assist kitchen staff with ingredient prep, order support, dishwashing, restocking, and sanitation while helping maintain an efficient, organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, and ingredient handling.
• Prepare and organize ingredients, supplies, and equipment for daily service.
• Support cooks and kitchen staff with food production and service activities.
• Assist with assembling and preparing food items according to established procedures.
• Help ensure food orders are accurate, complete, and prepared promptly.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workstations and service areas.
• Restock ingredients, utensils, containers, cleaning supplies, and other kitchen materials.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, labeling, and storing food and kitchen supplies.
• Remove trash and food waste while following proper sanitation procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, floors, equipment, and other kitchen areas.
• Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment issues, or service concerns to management.
• Support kitchen and front-of-house team members during busy service periods.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, food service, or utility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established workplace standards.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical kitchen tasks for extended periods.
• Comfortable handling kitchen equipment and cleaning duties safely.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks during busy service periods.
• Willingness to learn and assist with a variety of kitchen responsibilities.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
