Kitchen Staff

Job Summary

We are looking for kitchen staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes, packing takeaway orders, ensuring all food safety standards are met and maintaining kitchen cleanliness throughout the shift while communicating nicely and efficiently with the rest of the team. Basic knowledge required but there is room for training as long as there is willingness to learn and constantly improve.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
• Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
• Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and restocking supplies as needed
• Serve dishes to customers in a professional and courteous manner when required

Experience

• Basic experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
• Experience working with grills or open flame cooking equipment is highly desirable
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary presentation skills
• Previous experience in a kitchen setting involving restaurant service is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
