Job Summary

Duties

• Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards
• Support kitchen operations through manual handling of ingredients and supplies, including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the kitchen meets health regulations
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and transactions
• Help with food service duties including serving guests, setting up buffet stations, and supporting banquet events
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen flow and timely delivery of orders
• Follow all safety protocols related to cooking, heavy lifting, and equipment use to prevent accidents or injuries
• Contribute to a welcoming guest experience through excellent communication skills and attentive customer service

Experience

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, especially in food service or kitchen roles
• Experience with food preparation, cooking, or culinary tasks is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Prior banquet or large event catering experience is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to handle manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and food handling procedures
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role
• Hotel or guest services experience can be beneficial but is not required

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
