About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Staff member to join our team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc., located at Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and hygiene. As Kitchen Staff, you will be part of a fast-paced hospitality environment where attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork are essential to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Assisting in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, mixing, and portioning
• Operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining proper cleaning and sanitation protocols
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Supporting the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager with food preparation tasks and meal service
• Managing inventory levels and reporting any shortages or damaged items
• Working collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal production and service
• Adhering to time management schedules to ensure timely food preparation and service delivery
• Assisting with plating and presentation of dishes to meet company standards

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment or food preparation role is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards and best practices
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items safely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organisation
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality in meeting work schedules
• Willingness to learn new techniques and follow instructions from senior kitchen staff
• Basic numeracy skills for portion control and inventory management
• Relevant food safety certifications or training (advantageous)
