About the role

ZC Kings Manpower Janitorial Services Cooperative is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Staff member to join our team in Pasay City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in maintaining our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and service. As Kitchen Staff, you will be instrumental in supporting our food service operations and contributing to the overall success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing ingredients for cooking by washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, fruits, and other food items
• Assisting with the cooking and preparation of meals according to established recipes and food safety standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
• Organising and storing food items, ingredients, and supplies in designated areas
• Following proper food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
• Supporting senior kitchen staff and chefs with various kitchen duties as directed
• Monitoring inventory levels and reporting shortages of kitchen supplies to management
• Assisting in the serving and portioning of meals
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is advantageous
• Ability to follow food safety and hygiene regulations strictly
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
• Reliability and punctuality
• Basic mathematical skills for portioning and measuring ingredients
• Flexibility to work shifts as required
