Duties

• Assist with food preparation by chopping, assembling, and plating ingredients according to safety standards and recipes
• Maintain cleanliness by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment following safe lifting practices to ensure efficiency and safety
• Manage food handling responsibilities with care, adhering strictly to food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines
• Operate POS systems like Micros POS for order processing and payment transactions accurately during busy service periods
• Provide in-person customer service by engaging with guests professionally, answering questions, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere

Qualifications

• Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
• Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
• A proactive attitude towards cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction
