Kitchen Staff

KATSUBI Hamilton (New Branch), located in Centre Place Shopping Centre, is looking for passionate and reliable All Rounder (Kitchen and Front of House) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and store ingredients according to company procedures and quality standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and keep all kitchen areas, equipment, and workstations clean
• Receive, store, and rotate stock using FIFO principles, and report shortages to supervisors
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, storage, labelling, and health & safety requirements
• Support Front of House when required, including taking orders and processing payments through the POS system
• Assist with online, takeaway, and delivery orders
• Help keep dining areas, counters, and customer facilities clean and presentable
• Assist with opening and closing duties and support the team during busy periods
• Report equipment faults, food quality concerns, or safety hazards to management promptly
• Follow reasonable instructions from management and perform other duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in kitchen, food preparation, or hospitality is preferred

• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operating procedures

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Good attention to detail and commitment to food quality

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties safely

• Must have the full legal right to work in New Zealand
