Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing practices.
• Support food running duties by delivering prepared dishes promptly to servers or directly to guests when needed.
• Help with washing dishes.
• Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and hygiene standards.
• Support the team during busy periods by assisting with general kitchen tasks such as stocking supplies and organizing storage areas.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key and positive moral!
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and provide excellent in-person customer service when interacting with guests.
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with restaurant or hotel environments, including banquet experience, is advantageous.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work flexible hours are essential for success in this energetic role.
