Duties

• Assist with food preparation, ensuring ingredients are ready and dishes meet quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including counters, utensils, and equipment
• Support food running and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests
• Handle food handling responsibilities with strict adherence to food safety protocols and hygiene standards
• Perform bussing duties by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and managing waste disposal efficiently
• Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment using safe lifting practices
• Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing during service periods
• Support banquet setups and service in event environments, ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service
• Engage in in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly
• Assist with general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing kitchen and dining spaces

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Familiarity with kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and safety standards is advantageous
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency during busy hours
• Background in hospitality or hotel settings can be beneficial for understanding guest service expectations
• Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and delivering excellent customer experiences
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices is required
• Prior banquet or large event experience can be a plus for supporting special functions
