Kitchen Staff

We’re looking to add to our kitchen team as summer approaches and race days start to pick up.

The position is at Legends Cafe, located within the Bunbury Turf Club.

We’re looking for someone who can work confidently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a large number of orders coming through in a short window. Service is generally 12pm–5.30pm and can be non-stop, with over 100 transactions per hour at times.

Duties include:

⭐ General kitchen prep — salads, sandwiches, grazing platters and plated meals

⭐ Cook ordered meals in a presentable and timely manner

⭐ Maintaining a clean, organised kitchen throughout service

⭐ Following food safety procedures

⭐ Keeping the Bain Marie stocked with hot grab-and-go options

Race dates can be provided well in advance for the financial year, with flexibility for split shifts to work around existing employment.

This position would suit someone with existing kitchen experience who is looking for additional hours, or someone needing flexibility around school hours. Full shifts are available on race days, with prep days also available for the right candidate.

Please only apply if you are available to work Melbourne Cup Day, as this is our busiest trade day.

Pay: $26.44 – $45.04 per hour
