About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Staff member to join the dynamic team at Argold Jobs Inc. This is a full-time position based in Malate, Manila City, Metro Manila. As Kitchen Staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and quality standards of our kitchen operations. Your contribution will directly impact the dining experience of our guests and the overall success of our hospitality business. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills whilst working in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen, including workstations, equipment and floors
• Assist in food preparation tasks including chopping, mixing and plating of dishes
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is prepared correctly and safely
• Store food items properly and manage kitchen inventory in accordance with food safety regulations
• Support senior kitchen staff and follow instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, including ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking appliances
• Assist with food portioning and presentation to meet customer expectations
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns immediately to management
• Maintain a professional demeanor and work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, whether in a restaurant, hotel, catering facility or similar hospitality setting
• Demonstrable knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards, or willingness to obtain relevant certification
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Time management abilities and the capacity to multitask in a busy kitchen environment
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and kitchen demands
• Basic numeracy and understanding of portion control and recipe measurements
• A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and food preparation
