About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Staff to join the team at Banjo's Bakery Cafe in Burpengary, QLD 4505. What you'll be doing

• Preparing and assembling sandwiches, baked goods and food items according to recipes and cafe standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment and food storage areas
• Following food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Supporting the preparation of ingredients and components required for daily service
• Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Assisting with stock rotation and monitoring ingredient levels
• Working collaboratively with other kitchen and cafe staff to meet service demands
• Responding promptly to customer orders and ensuring timely food preparation

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, cafe or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
• A strong commitment to food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining quality
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks
• Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• A positive attitude and genuine interest in delivering excellent customer service
• Current or willingness to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent qualification is preferred
