About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Staff (Male) to join the team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc. in Pasay City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our kitchen operations. As Kitchen Staff, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and supporting our culinary team to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Your contribution will directly impact the overall dining experience and operational success of our establishment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and established standards
• Assist with food preparation, including cutting, chopping, and marinating of ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, equipment, and storage areas
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, and prep stations
• Support the cooking team during service periods and respond to changing demands
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a clean and sanitised work environment
• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries in appropriate areas
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely meal preparation

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, particularly in food preparation or as a kitchen assistant
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items
• Excellent attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliability and punctuality
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques is preferred
• Certification in food safety or HACCP training is advantageous
