Kitchen Staff/Cook

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Kitchen Staff. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality food and service in a friendly and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen (ex. washing dishes, taking out garbage, mopping, sanitizing surfaces), including the staff washroom.
• Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
• Follow all food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe dining experience for guests.
• Assist front staff when necessary (ex. clearing tables and emptying dirty dish cart)

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multi-lingual team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Certification in food safety is a plus but not required.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
