Kitchen Staff/Cook

Overview

Join our team as a Kitchen Staff/Cook and help create nourishing, enjoyable meals for seniors in a memory care community. You’ll support residents’ well-being by preparing meals with care, following individual dietary needs, and helping make mealtimes comfortable and welcoming. This is a paid position with opportunities to grow your skills in senior dining and food service.

Duties

• Prepare meals and snacks according to recipes, menus, and residents’ dietary requirements
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures
• Use kitchen equipment safely and keep work areas clean and organized
• Assist with plating, portioning, and serving meals in a timely, appealing way
• Accommodate prescribed diets and texture modifications as directed
• Communicate respectfully with residents and coworkers, including residents living with memory loss
• Help create a calm, welcoming dining experience for residents
• Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment

Requirements

• Previous food service, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary instructions
• Comfortable working in a senior care setting and treating residents with patience and respect
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Dietary aide or senior living experience is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
