Kitchen Steward

Core Responsibilities

• Dishwashing & Sanitization: Wash plates, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using industrial dishwashers or manual 3-sink methods.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces, storage areas, and large equipment like ovens or grills.
• Waste & Recycling: Empty trash bins, segregate food waste, manage recycling guidelines, and clean waste disposal areas.
• Stocking & Inventory: Return clean cookware to proper stations, organize storage rooms, check chemical and soap levels, and report equipment breakages.
• Kitchen Support: Assist with light food preparation (such as peeling vegetables or moving stock) and help set up service lines or banquets when needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Prior experience as a dishwasher, kitchen helper, or hotel steward is preferred, though many entry-level positions provide on-the-job training.
• Safety & Sanitation: Knowledge of food safety standards, proper chemical handling (SDS compliance), and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, work in a fast-paced or hot environment, and lift heavy pots, trays, or trash bags.
• Soft Skills: Teamwork, attention to detail, reliability, and clear communication with kitchen staff.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,400.00 per month
