Job Description

A Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen. They ensure that all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards, helping the kitchen operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, floors, walls, and storage areas.
• Dispose of waste and maintain proper garbage segregation.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and used safely.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff by providing clean equipment as needed.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
• Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Help maintain an organized and clutter-free kitchen environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or hotel is an advantage.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
