Edge Catering is an established Vancouver catering company operating from our custom-built catering kitchen in East Vancouver.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Steward / Utility team member to help keep our kitchen clean, organized, safe and ready for daily production and events.

This is a hands-on role focused on dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, sanitation and general kitchen support. Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not required—we are happy to train someone with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

What You'll Do

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, prep tables and food-contact surfaces
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Sweep and mop kitchen and storage-area floors
• Clean walls, shelving, sinks, drains and other kitchen areas
• Clean ovens, ranges, fryers and other cooking equipment as assigned
• Assist with scheduled deep-cleaning projects
• Clean and maintain walk-in coolers, freezers and dry-storage areas
• Empty and clean garbage, recycling and compost containers
• Maintain clean and organized dishwashing and sanitation areas
• Restock cleaning and sanitation supplies
• Follow daily, weekly and scheduled cleaning checklists
• Follow all food-safety, chemical-handling and sanitation procedures

Kitchen & Event Support

• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries
• Keep storage areas clean and organized
• Assist with moving and organizing kitchen equipment and supplies
• Help load and unload equipment and supplies for catering events
• Assist with kitchen setup and breakdown
• Support the culinary team with basic kitchen duties when required
• Help return the kitchen to a clean and organized condition at the end of production

• Able to safely lift and move kitchen supplies and equipment
• Able to follow cleaning schedules and instructions
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Previous restaurant, catering, cleaning or dishwashing experience is an asset but not required
• FoodSafe certification is an asset
• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Schedule & Hours

This is a business-volume-based position, with hours scheduled according to catering and event demand.

Shifts may include daytime, afternoon, evening and weekend work. Weekly hours may vary depending on business levels and event schedules.

Work Location: Edge Catering and occasional off-site event locations throughout the Lower Mainland

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour
