HACO, a hatted tempura omakase restaurant in Sydney CBD and part of the Chaco Group, is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated people to join our kitchen team.

About the Role

Working alongside our chefs, you will help prepare ingredients, support the delivery of our omakase menu and maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen.

Responsibilities may include food preparation, cooking and plating appropriate to your skills and training, as well as cleaning, kitchen setup and closing duties. Your duties and employment classification will reflect the position offered and the work you are required to perform.

You will bring attention to detail, reliability and a willingness to work collaboratively in a busy kitchen. Clear communication, respect for your colleagues and a commitment to food safety are essential.

Availability for evening shifts, including Saturdays, is required.

Pay and Employment Conditions

Pay will be at or above the applicable legal minimum for your employment classification, taking account of the duties, skills and relevant qualifications required for the role.

Casual loading, applicable penalty rates, overtime and allowances will be paid in accordance with the relevant award or enterprise agreement. Superannuation will be paid in addition as required by law.

Your employment classification and pay rates will be confirmed in writing before you start. All required working time, including induction, training, preparation and closing duties, will be paid.

Operating days: Tuesday to Saturday
Shifts: Evening and Saturday availability required; shift arrangements will be discussed with regard to your availability and business needs
Start date: Flexible, by agreement
