Kitchen Team Member

Job Summary

Iron Chef House is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Team Member to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, ingredient handling, kitchen organization, cleaning, and maintaining food safety standards while working closely with chefs and other kitchen team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen tasks
• Wash, cut, portion, and organize ingredients as directed
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards
• Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation and plating
• Help prepare sauces, garnishes, vegetables, proteins, and other menu components
• Maintain proper food storage and organized ingredient areas
• Follow recipes, preparation procedures, and portion standards
• Keep kitchen workstations, counters, floors, and equipment clean and organized
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and cookware as assigned
• Restock ingredients, containers, utensils, and other kitchen supplies
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Monitor food supplies and report low-stock or quality concerns
• Support kitchen operations during busy service periods
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen cleaning duties
• Handle food and kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
• Work cooperatively with chefs, cooks, servers, and other team members
• Perform additional kitchen duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures
• Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and safety procedures
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks
• Ability to lift and move moderate loads when required
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience
• Food preparation and ingredient-handling experience
• Familiarity with Japanese or Asian cuisine is a plus
• Basic knife-handling skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to multitask during busy service periods
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
