Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assist with food production, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens safely and efficiently
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment
• Assist with high-volume food preparation for large orders or catering events while maintaining quality control
• Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to prevent cross-contamination
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by regularly sanitizing work surfaces and equipment in accordance with food safety management protocols

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a food service environment is preferred
• Willingness to learn and improve through training provided
• Demonstrated ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Experience with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
• Familiarity with high-volume production processes
• Background in fine dining or restaurant environments is advantageous but not required
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
