Job Summary

Santiago's Bodega is looking for a dependable and motivated Kitchen Team Member to support food preparation and daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cooks and chefs to prepare quality dishes, maintain clean workstations, and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, and portioning food.
• Support cooks and chefs with daily food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food presentation standards.
• Keep kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment clean and organized.
• Store food ingredients properly and follow food safety procedures.
• Monitor ingredient levels and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
• Follow sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
• Coordinate with kitchen colleagues to ensure timely food preparation.
• Help receive deliveries and organize kitchen inventory.
• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Interest in restaurant operations and food preparation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle routine kitchen tasks.
• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
