Kitchen Team Member - Prep / Line Cook

Murphy’s on the Green is hiring a dependable kitchen team member to support daily prep and dinner service. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes their work seriously, follows direction, and understands that consistency, organization, and teamwork matter in a busy kitchen.

The position will include food preparation and line work, along with dishwashing and other kitchen duties as needed. We’re looking for someone who is willing to contribute across the kitchen and take responsibility for keeping their work area clean, stocked, and ready for service.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily food prep according to recipes and kitchen standards
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked station
• Prepare and plate menu items accurately during service
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
• Communicate clearly with the chef and other kitchen staff
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and closing duties as needed
• Help maintain a steady, organized workflow during busy periods

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred; line experience is a plus
• Strong reliability and punctuality
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and cleanliness
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends (kitchen hours are roughly 2PM-10PM)
• A team-focused attitude and readiness to help where needed
